I'm traveling so trying to use a laptop, which I find extremely frustrating. It's like typing in mittens.

Robin, I can check with Cameron about the mp3 when I'm back and have access to my email. Or you can message him through MySpace in the meantime. I'm sure he wouldn't say no to reaching out to your 5-star musical contacts.

I'll type more when I'm on a computer with a mouse and a normal sized keybvoard.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! xo

Ah, I can so relate to this interview...and so can my kids for sure. Their west coast tour two years ago involved three consecutive nights sleeping on busses with no showers and stealing food from hotels which offered free continental breakfasts to their guests in their lobbies.

I'm going to have to ask Cameron if I can borrow one of your links so that I can put his music up on my blog in a couple of weeks...I'm taken with Depression Glass. I hear a lot of Jeff Buckley in his work (and I bet he both hates hearing that and is at the same time secretly delighted)

Anyway, as usual, an awesome interview and I love being turned on to new music. Thank you, Ms. Henderson, and here's hoping you and the rest of your beautiful family and friends have an awesome Thanksgiving.

And that we are both finalists in the 2006 Best of Blog Awards. Ha!

(Do you think we'll both be ninety years old and still having competitions with each other? God I hope so)

Cameron said: Five minutes, five years. There are lines I am still trying to find homes for from years ago. Somehow they stick around on a back burner until you can use them correctly.

Snippets are ingredients we add to the stew of whatever we’re creating. Some stews are thrown together in a pot and cooked in a flash, while others require careful measuring of ingredients, stirring, sampling, and simmering.

Music is another way of connecting with that something that compels us to create. I’ve written lyrics and music to two songs, one a tribute to my sister who died from melanoma (skin cancer) at the age of 29 and the other a paean to the wonder of childhood. I am my own audience, though. I play my sister’s song on my mother’s piano in my garage and my childhood song on my own piano in my living room.

As usual, Susan, your Question of the Week informs the Wednesday playday. I enjoyed hanging out with Cameron and will put Street Ballads & Masquerades on my Christmas list. Can you tell where my mind is on this day before Thanksgiving?

Blessings to all the kids at LitPark.

great interview. Thanks for sharing.
I've always loved the singer/songwriters; I get the writing thing but I've never had an ounce of musical talent myself (tone deaf, no rythmn, dreadful voice), so I'm always in awe of the cool stuff you guys can pull off. and just a smidge envious ;)
thanks for visiting the park, I like your outlook and style.
