Maria - Your life and the stories you tell and just who you are absolutely captures me. I’m dying to read the new book you’re working on! I’ll definitely be at kgb on the 16th!

Anneliese - Some of us get a little carried away with how many books we own that don’t fit anywhere.

Carolyn - I learned that lesson long ago when I still submitted stories to magazines. Beware someone might publish it exactly as you wrote it, so make sure it’s your absolute best.

Jim - Me, too.

Josh - You’re adorable. I’ll see you in a few.

Juliet - That gives me a good idea for a Q of the Week I’ll use down the road.

Robin - We’re finishing Monday, right?

Come join us at the Memoirists Collective for sure - we love new friends. And thanks, Juliet for your always lovely words about the book…it’s weird, but once you have a book out there, after a certain point, you forget that anyone has actually read it. It becomes so much about the grind that there are definitely moments wherein you forget that you’re a writer at all, and just think you’re a beast with a phone attached to one ear, and a keyboard hanging from your fingers. That’s why it’s always important to have a project, no matter how busy the promo is. If you don’t…then what the hell are you doing it for? Or at least, that’s how I feel about it at this point. Mind you, I’m working on WAY too many other projects, but that seems to just be the deal.

And Josh, it’s never too late! We could be such a happy couple!

Ha ha - I can so relate to the weirder the childhood, what choice but to write about it. That fat kid/pinching brutalizer story was hilarious.

I need to check out the memoirist collective. I’m extremely jealous I’m not a part of it.

I trekked over to myspace for no other reason than to friend Maria. It was a choice I’ve never regretted. I’ve picked up “Yes” on more than one lazy evening or Sunday afternoon (not to mention a few mornings drenched in self-pity) and snuggled in the passenger seat of a wildly entertaining, thoroughly moving adventure.

Maria’s success in the publishing world echoes into her private life (as seen in “Yes”)â€”she engages her life fully, does not leave room for bits to fall between the cracks, and loves freely.

I, too, thank both Maria and Sue for this interview.
