Hey, welcome, Sp8cemunky! I agree that Robin is awesome and funny. She should write a regular column for the Village Voice - but of course then she'd have no time to write books.

Some kinda Gaiman synchronicity going on for me right now...I won't go into the list but suffice it to say its making me wonder. Soooooo when I see an review by Robin Slick, mom to the fantastically musical Julie and Eric, about Gaiman I of course had to read it.

I was hooked by Gaiman with American Gods. And have since learned he dabbles in all kinds of wonderful stuff.

Great review! Robin. I like that you've let your obsessive nature shine a little. I totally understand it, having once agreed to jello wrestle for Adrian Belew.

The reason I love Robin Slick's review is...

She is obsessed!!!

I never heard of Gaiman until I read his name on Slick's blog. I haven't picked up any of his books yet, though I'm inching closer...

Robin, you're the world's best fan, I swear. As soon as I send this, my butt's in the car looking for Fragile Things.

Haha - thank you, everyone...especially you, Susan. Naturally, this was a joy to do...the only hard part was keeping it short and not turning it into a mini-series.

Or some sort of virtual shrine.

Oh, God. I can't WAIT to read this book! Robin, thanks for the hilarious and insightful review. Sue, thanks for thinking of bringing Robin in on this and for sharing the middle-eastern erotica story. I'm even newer to Neil Gaiman than Robin is, as I've only read Anansi Boys (and loved it). I'm ordering Fragile Things immediately. Meanwhile, I can hardly wait for the upcoming interview!

Robin - I knew you wouldn't bore me with a standard book review! That photo that looks like Neil's carrying your head around in a backpack is one of my all-time favorites.

Lance - I can't wait either!

Myf - Hi!

Kat - Isn't she funny? I adore Robin.

Hendersons are going to try to fit some skiing in before the Super Bowl, so if I owe anyone mail and I don't get to it, I will by Monday or Tuesday.

And attention to the South African writer with the Booker and Caine nominations. I lost your email!!! Can you write me?
