LitPark is a literary playground for writers, artists, and anyone who feels at home here. My hope is that the topics and the community here will offer inspiration, support, a place to vent and gain helpful tips about the business.
Here’s how it works around here:
Question of the Month
Every first Monday of the month I’ll post a question designed to free up some new writing ideas, to build the sense of community, to tackle issues that are important to writers, and to tie in to the Interview of the Month.
Interview
I interview people who can speak to issues that are relevant to the community at LitPark – writer’s block, fear of public speaking, professional jealousy, deadlines. Folks who have been interviewed here include bestselling authors Neil Gaiman, Lemony Snicket, and Kate Gale; musicians David Habbin, Paul Green, and Ritchie Blackmore; The New Yorker cover artist, Peter de Seve; not to mention editors, publicists, and others who pique my interest. I do not appreciate suggestions about who to interview.
Monthly Wrap
This is where I wrap up the month, based on the discussions in the comments section. These wrap ups have led to discussions about patrol camp, hitchhiking, and peeing on apples.
Mostly this place is about you! So be a part of the community by joining the discussions in the comments section. Your voice and your perspective are valuable. And when you’re generous with what you know, we all rise together.
Thanks for stopping by!
